Cal Wenzel Precision Health

Cal Wenzel Precision Health Building at the University of Calgary Foothills Campus features interior roller shades.  Originally completed in 2009, the building featured an Embedia BlindView control system designed for and marketed by Nysan Solar Control Systems as SolarWare.  The controls were upgraded in 2022 to an Embedia Solarai Plus advanced sun tracking control system to improve operations, efficiency, and allow integration with building management systems (BMS).  The upgraded system provided staff, students, and patients alike with access to natural light and beautiful exterior views while automatically managing glare and solar heat gain.  Solarai Control Panel software featuring customized floorplan views allow the facility operations and engineering team to manage the system from any location.
