Project Description
Calgary, AB, Canada
cSPACE Marda Loop arts incubator is an innovative collaborative venue promoting community through art and creativity. This renewal project saw Calgary's King Edward School, originally built in 1912, completely overhauled and modernized. The project features exterior venetian blinds using the predictive solar tracking features of Embedia's Solarai control system to maximize views, while controlling glare and managing heat gain within the space, a contributing factor to the projects LEED Gold certification. In addition, seamless integration with AV, lighting, ventilation, and room partitioning systems provide intuitive operation of the theatre and event space.
