Lidl - Perryville

Lidl's facility in Perryville, MD was the third major distribution center constructed as part of the German company's expansion into North America.  Both exterior venetian blinds and exterior roller shades were used for daylighting control not only for the administrative offices, but also throughout the warehouse where clerestory windows lined the expansive facade above the loading bays.  High levels of soft natural light filled the interior space while Solarai's predictive solar tracking ensured no direct sunlight was allow to enter the space.  The automated shading system contributed to a reduction in energy consumption for the project.
